PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combination processing method for base materials and products with high yield by considering the application of GA (genetic algorithm) for a combination problem of precut materials dealing with a plurality of base material lengths as a more general-purpose model of a one-dimensional BPP (bin packing problem), eliminating a process for searching a combination pattern by representing the combination pattern with genes of two character strings, to obtain a model close to simple GA, and providing an intersection control parameter to reflect the computed result of combination.;SOLUTION: Regarding a combination problem of the precut material when cutting out a group of products of predetermined length from a plurality of regular-sized base material groups (hereinafter referred to as base material species), the method for determining yield through a plurality of steps comprises expressing chromosomes along allotted products (order based representation) and forming chromosomes of double gene structure with a gene B specifying base material species for allotting the products and a gene P serving as a sort key for specifying the allotment sequence in a group of products allotted to the same base material species.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
