Method for optimizing cell reselection behavior in a mobile network according to the UMTS standard or 3G standard

The system has radio cells and mobile radio terminals operable in the radio cells. A cell reselection parameter and threshold are provided, which serves for measurement and the selection of the possible radio cells. The value of parameter and the threshold depend on the motion speed of the terminals. The cell reselection parameter value is larger for small motion speed than for high motion speed of the terminals.
