PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate material of a relief printing plate, which has a uniform resin film thickness and less defects not to cause the degradation in characteristics of efficiency and lifetime of an organic EL element in spite of the use of an additive for improving height uniformity of convex portions, bubbles, and unevenness when letterpress printing is applied for printing a fine pattern, and to provide a relief printing plate, a method for manufacturing an organic EL element using the same, an organic EL element, and an organic EL display.;SOLUTION: The plate material of a relief printing plate has at least a resin layer, a protective layer, and a cover film formed on a base. The resin layer is a photosensitive resin layer having a rubber-like polymer component, a cross-linkable monomer component, and a photo polymerization initiator as main components. The photosensitive resin layer includes a surface control agent, and the surface control agent in a surface layer of the photosensitive resin layer is transferred to the protective layer when the relief printing plate is produced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
