PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block body which achieves thinning of a wall thereof and sufficient mechanical strength, and to provide a facility for storing and infiltrating rainwater etc. by using the block body. PSOLUTION: A base portion 10 of the block body is formed into a hexahedron made of concrete as a main ingredient, and has a hollow portion 100 of a non-spherical shape or a non-cylindrical shape. Then, openings 13, 14, for instance, are formed in mutually adjacent side surfaces 103a, 103b of the base portion, and communicate with the hollow portion 100. The opening 13 has two sides 131, 131 opposed to each other and in parallel with each other, and two sides 132, 132 opposed to each other and in parallel with each other. The two sides 131, 131, and the two sides 132, 132 are in parallel with adjacent sides of the side surface 103 in which the opening 13 is formed. Further, corners 133 at which the two sides 131, 131 and the two sides 132, 132 cross each other, respectively, are made diagonal or arcuate. When the plurality of block bodies thus formed are combined with each other and embedded in the ground, they form the facility for storing and infiltrating rainwater etc. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
