PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a resource from being consumed wastefully when searching for a route of a public transportation system.;SOLUTION: A route searching server 10 is provided with a route searching tool 110 for specifying an optimal route candidate according to a searching condition by continuously repeating a process which searches a next station on a route starting from a departure point and having the lowest operation cost, in response to inputting the searching condition including the departure point and a destination. In the route searching server 10, a virtual landmark registering tool 120 is provided which sets a name shared by two or more stations as a virtual landmark having zero operation cost from respective stations and brings the route searching tool 110 to recognize the set virtual landmark as the departure point or the destination, thereby rapidly performing comparisons of operation costs between the two or more stations sharing the same name.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
