PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodeless discharge lamp device which easily collectively lights a plurality of loop-shaped arc tube with one lighting circuit and has improved startability and efficiency of the lighting circuit by a means manufactured easily at low cost.;SOLUTION: A matching circuit portion 108 includes a first matching circuit 106 as a basic structure and a second matching circuit 107 for switching circuit constants, and detects lighting start state of arc tubes 101 and 111 to switch the circuit constants in the second circuit 107 in multiple steps. This allows a resonant frequency of a resonant system circuit to match with a driving frequency of a high frequency power supply, and the plurality of arc tubes 101 and 111 to start lighting well and surely.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
