PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detecting device which can perform proper image quality evaluations to the target digital image data even when work area size available for expanding the digital data is not sufficient.;SOLUTION: The range setting unit M3 sets a detection window for the target object, and the object detecting unit M4 analyzes the target image within the detection window and detects a specific object. An image data which is analyzed in the object detecting unit M4 is either a reduced image data or a divided image data. If the detection window W0 is equal to or larger than the predefined size, a reduced image data is analyzed, and if the detection window W0 is smaller than the predefined size, a divided image data is analyzed. After the image data to be analyzed is determined, the image reducing unit M1 reduces the size of the target image data to generate the reduced image data, or the image dividing unit M2 divides the target image data to generate the divided image data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
