PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new sugar chain probe whose non-specific interaction is small and which can be fixed to hydrophobic surfaces, and to provide a method for purifying a substance to be bound to a sugar chain with the sugar chain probe.;SOLUTION: This long chain alkyloxybenzamide derivative represented by formula (1).
