PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing an antiallergic substance by searching and confirming a substance having antiallergic effect from marine algae. PSOLUTION: The method for producing an antiallergic substance at a high concentration from marine algae comprises culturing RBL-2H3 cells in a carbon dioxide incubator containing an anti-DNP IgE antibody and carbon dioxide gas, adding a substance obtained by extracting a dried marine alga with a lower alcohol and/or water to the culture, culturing the culture, adding 2,4-dinitrophenyl (DNP) binding bovine serum albumin (BSA) as an antigen to the culture and assaying enzyme activity of enzyme β-hexosaminidase introduced and released in a culture supernatant so as to introduce and confirm an antiallergic substance.
