PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for precise prediction of machining time on the basis of a speed control parameter and movement instruction data set according to machine type and/or processing mode of a processing machine.;SOLUTION: A machining time predictor comprises a machine characteristics database 60 obtained by compiling a database of speed control parameters set according to at least either machine type or processing mode of a processing machine; a selection means 74 for selecting the machine type and/or processing mode of the processing machine; NC data 50 obtained by programming the movement instruction data; and a machining time prediction module 80 for inputting the movement instruction data for the NC data, reading from the machine characteristics database the speed control parameter corresponding to the machine type and/or processing mode of the processing machine selected by the selection means, and calculating the machining time based on the speed control parameter and the movement instruction data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
