PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging bag can smoothly open across a butt seal part in an intended direction.;SOLUTION: The packaging bag includes a bag-like body 1 configured such that the butt seal part 2 is formed by butting and sticking film edges and the bag-like body 1 is opened across the butt seal part 2. An ultrasonic wave sealing device 110 and a receiving section 112 weld and press the basal portion 2b of the butt seal part 2, thereby forming a connecting portion 10. The connecting part 10 is formed by flattening a boundary portion 2a between both ends Fa and Fb of the film of the basal portion 2b of the butt seal part 2. A cut 5 for opening the bag is formed in a side edge part of the bag-like body 1. An opening line formed by extending straight from this cut 5 crosses the butt seal part 2.
