PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene fiber having excellent cutting resistance, high dimensional stability at a product service temperature near room temperature, and excellent moldability having high shrinkage and high stress in forming at a temperature extremely lower than the melting point of polyethylene, and to provide strings, ropes, woven or knit fabrics, gloves and protection covers produced by using the polyethylene fiber.;SOLUTION: There is provided the high-shrinkage polyethylene fiber with excellent low-temperature moldability, having an intrinsic viscosity [η] of not less than 0.8 and not more than 4.9 dL/g, containing repeating unit composed essentially of ethylene, and a thermal stress at 40°C of not more than 0.05 cN/dtex, and a thermal stress at 70°C of not less than 0.05 cN/dtex and not more than 0.25 cN/dtex.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
