PSOLUTION: An apparatus 25 for controlling an exhaust gas treating device is provided with an internal state estimating means 41 for calculating an internal state quantity estimated value xSBP/SBestimating the internal state quantity using a dynamic characteristics model prepared by modeling a variation over time of an internal state quantity variable in an exhaust gas treating device, and a feed back control variable accumulator 48 for calculating a feed back control variable uSBB/SBby adding a state feed back control variable uSBS/SBobtained by multiplying an internal state quantity estimating value xSBp/SBby a state feed back gain -KSBS/SBto an integral feed back control variable uSBI/SBobtained by multiplying a value v obtained by integrating a deviation e of an exhausted contaminating substance amount y from a target exhausted contaminating substance amount r by an integral gain -KSBI/SB.
