PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for liquid crystal alignment containing a branched oligo-imide or a branched oligo-amic acid containing a heat curable or photo curable functional group at a terminal of its molecule and having weight average molecular weight of 500 to 30,000, to provide a liquid crystal alignment layer manufactured by using the composition and to provide a liquid crystal display including the same.;SOLUTION: The composition for liquid crystal alignment can minimize decomposed by-products generated when polyimide is used by introducing the heat curable or photo curable functional group to the terminal of the branched oligo-imide or the branched oligo amic acid instead of polyimide and is excellent in coating properties, alignability, thermal stability, and an improvement effect of an afterimage.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
