PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a small, lightweight, and inexpensive direct-current bidirectional converter of a simple configuration, and to provide a control method for the same.;SOLUTION: The direct-current bidirectional converter is connected between a first direct-current voltage source and a second direct-current voltage source and transmits electric power energy from the first direct-current voltage source to the second direct-current voltage source, and vice versa. The converter includes: a transformer that bidirectionally converts voltage to a predetermined value between the first direct-current voltage source and the second direct-current voltage source; a second rectifying and smoothing unit provided on the second direct-current voltage source side of the transformer; and a first rectifying and smoothing unit provided on the first direct-current voltage source side of the transformer. When electric power energy is transmitted from the second direct-current voltage source to the first direct-current voltage source, the first rectifying and smoothing unit rectifies the first secondary current of the transformer. When electric power energy is transmitted from the first direct-current voltage source to the second direct-current voltage source, the second rectifying and smoothing unit rectifies the second secondary current of the transformer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
