Maturation and ovulation induction method of Mahata parent fish by LHRHa implantation using solid cholesterol pellets

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable and efficient spawning method for sevenband grouper by using LHRHa as a maturation- and ovulation-inducing hormone agent, utilizing the technique for increasing its persistence and enabling the sustained-release dosage. PSOLUTION: A cholesterol pellet is used as a solid preparation that enables the sustained-release dosage of a synthetic luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRHa : des-GlySP10/SP, [D-AlaSP6/SP]-LHRH ethyl amide), the dosage of the LHRHa is set to 20 to 100 g/kg BW and the adult groupers are selected from adult groupers cultured under artificial environment, using an individual egg selected from the eggs having a diameter of 420 to 550 m in the ovary. The eggs collected after the hormone treatment are artificially fertilized, thus the fertilized eggs of good quality can stably and efficiently obtained from the adult groupers.
