PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for simulating an image forming process capable of confirming the possibility that a problem will occur with the size of a memory provided in an image forming processor, regardless of whether or not a user has actually used the image forming processor.;SOLUTION: The apparatus for simulating an image forming process includes: a means for accepting image data, i.e., the subject of an image forming process by the image forming processor; a means for performing, using the image data, simulations of the image forming process aimed at the image data in the image forming processor; a memory management means for securing the memory area for the image forming process prior to the simulations, monitoring the memory size required for the image forming process during the simulations, and comparing the required memory size with the size of the memory area secured; and an output means for outputting information about the result of the comparison.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
