PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle for a weft inserting nozzle to which fiber monomer or water stain dispersed in high pressure water for supplying as a water-jet hardly sticks with a long cleaning cycle and the weft inserting nozzle using the needle. SOLUTION: This weft inserting nozzle is composed by fitting the needle 3 with a hard thin film 8 having a smoothly uneven surface and made to adhere to at least an outer peripheral surface of a head part 5 having a tapered shape into a nearly cylindrical nozzle body 1 so that the mutual axes are coaxial.
