PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a MSM-type light-receiving element, and to provide a manufacturing method of the element. PSOLUTION: The MSM-type light-receiving element 100 has a light-receiving face 40 on the upper face 20a of a light-absorbing layer 20. The element 100 includes a substrate 10, the light-absorbing layer 20 formed on the substrate 10, a first electrode 30 formed on the light-absorbing layer 20, a second electrode 32 formed on the light-absorbing layer 20, and a lens 50 formed on the light-receiving face 40.
