PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptive signal processing apparatus and an adaptive signal processing method thereof for decreasing an arithmetic throughput in the frequency domain LMS algorithm.;SOLUTION: The adaptive signal processing apparatus adopting the frequency domain LMS algorithm applies adaptive signal processing to the frequency domain by using a frequency signal component of an input signal, a filter coefficient and a step size parameter of each frequency tap of an adaptive filter by each frequency to calculate a filter coefficient of each frequency tap in a succeeding arithmetic cycle. In the case of calculation of the filter coefficient, the adaptive signal processing apparatus controls the step size parameter value of each frequency by each arithmetic cycle of the filter coefficient. In this case, the number of times when the step size parameter value is 0 in response to frequencies belonging to a low frequency band is increased and the number of times when the step size parameter value is 0 in response to frequencies belonging to a high frequency band is decreased.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
