Overlay multicast distribution network configuration method, system and program

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To scalably accomplish a multicast distribution network, taking into account QoS/fault resistance, using an overlay network.;SOLUTION: When forming an overlay network to perform multicast distribution thereon, overlay nodes constituting the overlay network are divided into super nodes 1 and general nodes. For the super nodes 1, a super node layer is formed by performing logical connections between neighboring super nodes determined by neighboring node determination section 1c, and a multicast tree indicating a distribution path of multicast information in the super node layer is formed by a multicast tree generation section 1g using distribution source nodes of the relevant multicast information as a route. For the general nodes, any one of the super nodes is selected and logically connected to form a general node layer. Thus, the overlay network is constituted of two layers of the super node layer and the general node layer, and a network for multicast distribution is configured in the super node layer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
