PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide type biochemical sensor chip capable of widening an allowed incident angle range, while keeping high sensitivity, and inhibiting decay of light intensity in the optical waveguide.;SOLUTION: The optical waveguide type biochemical chip includes an optical waveguide layer of polymer resin material, a coupler for making light incident on the optical waveguide layer, a decoupler for making light translated through the optical waveguide layer exit, and a sensing membrane provided on the optical waveguide layer while generating a reaction product which has absorptivity to the light or to the evanescent wave of the light if an analyte is made to interact. The optical waveguide type biochemical sensor chip is characterized by that the decreasing rate R of the output signal after T hours from being interacted with the analyte can be displayed under the specific condition.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
