PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a soft magnetic compact which can simultaneously achieve three objects of high magnetic permeability, inhibition for the decrease of magnetic permeability due to a direct-current superimposing magnetic field and a low loss, so as to reduce the volume of a magnetic part such as a transformer or an electric reactor which is a main component of a switching power supply.;SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the soft magnetic compact comprises the steps of: preparing soft magnetic particles having a silicate film formed on the surface by making silicic acid which has been precipitated by hydrolysis of water glass deposit on soft magnetic particles; preparing a green compact by compression-molding the soft magnetic particles; and rapidly heating the green compact in atmospheric air or in a gas containing oxygen.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
