PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new parakeratosis-suppressing agent having excellent parakeratosis-suppressing effect and a pore shrinking agent having pore shrinking effect.;SOLUTION: The problem has been solved by the finding that L-theanine and its salt have excellent parakeratosis-suppressing effect or pore shrinking effect. The parakeratosis-suppressing agent or pore shrinking agent is composed of one or more compounds selected from L-theanine and its salt. The L-theanine salt is preferably selected from sodium salt, potassium salt, calcium salt, zinc salt, magnesium salt, ammonium salt, hydrochloride, sulfate, phosphate, hydrobromide, methylamine salt, pyridine salt, trimethylamine salt, triethanolamine salt, methylsulfate, p-toluenesulfonate, acetate, lactate, maleate, fumarate, oxalate, succinate, tartrate, citrate, betaine salt, glycine salt, serine salt and taurine salt.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
