PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely diagnose failures of brake switches with a simple constitution.;SOLUTION: When both of the brake switches 6a and 6b are decided not in ON states and OFF states (S110, S112), counting by first and second deciding counters is performed (S114, S120). When it is decided that both of the brake switches 6a and 6b are in ON states, a count value of the first deciding counter is made zero (S132). When it is decided that both of the brake switches 6a and 6b are in OFF states, making zero of a count value of the second deciding counter (S136) is periodically repeated. The count value of either one of the first and second deciding counters exceeds each predetermined value α and β (S118, S214), it is decided that either one of the brake switches 6a and 6b fails. A failure state to be a normal ON state or a normal OFF state of either one of the brake switches 6a and 6b is detected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
