PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish an efficient production method (asymmetric synthesis) for a naturally occurring and optically active perfume substance, and to provide a perfume composition including the same.;SOLUTION: This perfume consists of (5S)-5-methyl-5-(4-methyl-3-pentenyl)-4,5- dihydro-2(3H)-franone or (5R)-5-methyl-5-(4-methyl-3-pentenyl)-4,5-dihydro-2(3H)- franone.
