PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and speedily report an interruption to facilities to which occurrence of trouble in telephone is reported in an emergency.;SOLUTION: A telephone interruption reporting system 1 includes a central controller 2, optical telephone stations 3, optical telephone sets 4, and terminals 5. The central controller 2 is a key station interconnecting the optical telephone stations 3 in a plurality of areas, monitors whether the optical telephone station 3 and optical telephone sets 4 can communicate, and transmits data regarding interruption states thereof to the terminals 5 of facilities such as the police and a firehouse. As for the data regarding the interruption states, source data of last transmission and current transmission are held and differences between them are obtained to quickly transmit necessary irreducible data. As for a terminal 5 as a transmission destination, an inclusion relationship between the address of an optical telephone set 4 decided as an optical telephone set 4 which is unable to communicate and a jurisdiction area of facilities where the terminal 5 is installed is checked to specify the terminal 5 of the facilities including the address of the optical telephone set 4 as the jurisdiction area.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
