Three-dimensional pointing method and three-dimensional pointing device, and a three-dimensional pointing program

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operator to quickly and accurately perceive a pointing position and to make the operator perform pointing by using a pointer having such a natural shape that his or her work is not hindered, with respect to pointing work using the pointer in three-dimensional GUI. PSOLUTION: A three-dimensional pointing method of pointing one arbitrary point of a three-dimensional display space expressed on an external display device includes; a step 1 of calculating two-dimensional plane coordinates and a depth position of a point to be pointed in the three-dimensional display space, on the basis of input information from an external input device; a step 2 of generating a pointer having a first portion indicating the two-dimensional plane coordinates of the point to be pointed, a second portion indicating the depth position of the point to be pointed, and a third portion of which the position in a two-dimensional plane is varied in accordance with the depth position; and a step 3 of displaying the generated pointer on the external display device.
