PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To backwash water chambers of a condenser at an optimal timing, by automatically determining a clogging state of the water chambers of the condenser, by widely acquiring data such as a water intake-outlet port seawater temperature difference, a condenser inlet-outlet temperature difference, a degree of vacuum of the condenser or a tide level.;SOLUTION: The water intake-outlet port seawater temperature difference and the condenser inlet-outlet temperature difference are measured as a backwash condition of whether or not the water chambers A1 and A2 of the condenser 1 are back-washed. After measuring its temperature difference, on the corresponding water chambers A1 and A2, cooling water taken from a water intake port 3 is supplied in the inverse direction to these water chambers A1 and A2, and a cooling pipe 2 of the water chambers A1 and A2 is back-washed, and the cooling water after its washing is discharged to a water outlet 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
