PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an optimum network topology in simultaneous consideration of a plurality of evaluation scales in different units.;SOLUTION: A network topology design system using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) comprises a topology information and demand matrix input device 101 for inputting locations of edge nodes, possible locations of core nodes and possible locations of links, an initial topology generation device 102 for generating an initial topology, a topology candidate generation device 103 for adding some links and core nodes to the initial topology to generate a plurality of candidate topologies, an AHP application device 104 for evaluating the candidate topologies in terms of superiority, and an optimum topology output device 105 for outputting a resultant set of optimum topologies.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
