PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently set a threshold when desired trace waveform data are generated from Doppler spectrum data.;SOLUTION: A Doppler sensitivity measuring part 51 measures the Doppler sensitivity of the Doppler spectrum data on a prescribed region of a subject obtained by the transmission/receiving of ultrasonic waves. A spectrum shape model creating part 52 creates a spectrum shape model based on a window function in generating the Doppler spectrum data. A threshold setting part 53 sets a range of thresholds of the trace waveform data which vary by a prescribed quantity in the axial direction of the frequency based on the spectrum shape model and the Doppler sensitivity, and sets a prescribed number of thresholds at regular intervals in the range of thresholds. A trace data generating part 54 selects a threshold to obtain the desired trace waveform data by generating the trace waveform data while updating the plurality of set thresholds one by one.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
