PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reverberation removing device and method in which sound quality degradation is small. PSOLUTION: The reverberation removing device comprises: a speech autocorrelation estimation means which receives an initial estimation value of a speech signal or the speech signal estimated by a speech signal estimation means, and which estimates a speech autocorrelation function for each short time period, based on a probability model of the speech signal; an inverse filter estimation means for estimating an inverse filter by receiving an observation signal and the speech autocorrelation for each short time period, estimated by the speech autocorrelation estimation means; a speech signal estimation means for estimating the speech signal by receiving the observation signal and the estimation value of the inverse filter estimated by the inverse filter estimation means; and a conversion determination means in which each estimation accuracy is improved by sequentially repeating each estimation of the speech autocorrelation means, the inverse filter estimation means and the speech signal estimation means, and which finishes repeating of estimation by determining convergence of the estimation after receiving the estimation value of the speech signal estimated by the speech signal estimation means, and outputs the estimation value of the speech signal.
