PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus providing a high magnetic field intensity for hyperpolarization without deteriorating the uniformity of the intensity of a static magnetic field in an observation region. PSOLUTION: This nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus 1 is provided with a superconducting main coil 3f which generates a magnetic force line 13 for generating the static magnetic field in a region 8 for generating nuclear magnetic resonance phenomenon, and a superconducting shield coil 3g which applies a current inverse to the superconducting main coil 3f for allowing the magnetic force line 13 to pass between itself and the superconducting main coil 3f for reducing the intensity of a leakage magnetic field generated outside. An object 9 containing a labeled nuclide is disposed between the superconducting main coil 3f and superconducting shield coil 3g. The apparatus further has a hyperpolarization section 2 for hyperpolarizing the labeled nuclide and allows the hyperpolarized labeled nuclide to generate nuclear magnetic resonance phenomenon in the region 8.
