PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely verify the operation of an ultrasonic transducer array over a short period of time.;SOLUTION: In a verification mode for verifying the operation of the ultrasonic transducer array 12, a display control part 22 receives an echo signal from a region to be observed, generates a B-mode image which represents a relationship between depth and luminance obtained by converting the intensity of a detection signal, output from an ultrasonic transducer 12a, to brightness, and makes a monitor 23 display waveforms 40 corresponding to the plurality of ultrasonic transduce 12a, respectively, in such a manner that the waveforms 40 are arranged on the monitor 23.
