Method and system for recovering valuable elements in cement firing plant

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for the recovery of valuable elements in a cement calcination plant which enables an efficient recovery of valuable elements contained in exhaust gas and their recycle as resources, in the utilization of various types of wastes as a cement raw material and a heat energy source in the plant. PSOLUTION: The method is employed in a cement calcination plant equipped with a kiln 1 calcining cement raw materials and a preheater 3 heating the cement raw materials preliminarily with exhaust gas discharged from the kiln 1. The method comprises the extraction of the exhaust gas of temperatures ranging from 200 to 800C from the preheater 3 and recovering one or more valuable elements of lead, thallium, arsenic, cadmium, zinc, mercury and bromine from the exhaust gas.
