Method for the synthesis of facial image

摘要

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synthesize face images which are similar in basic designs of a face, such as contour of the face and positions of eyes, nose and mouth, which are different in apparent age. PSOLUTION: The method of synthesizing face images having different apparent age includes: obtaining the face images (original images) of a plurality of people; generating standardized images (standardized original images) out of the original images such that the characteristic points of the shape of each original image coincide with the characteristic points of a face type of a predetermined shape; analyzing a principal color component in the standardized original images of the plurality of people; specifying parameters that contribute to apparent age among eigenvectors (parameters) obtained from the principal component analysis; determining component images of the parameters; obtaining the original image of a certain image and generating its standardized original image; and varying the weighting factors of the parameters in the standardized original image of the certain face so as to generate standardized face images different in apparent age.
