PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print system, a print controller, a control method for the print system, a driver program, and a recording medium recording the driver program for supplying print data to a printer via the recording medium without requiring consideration given to type compatibility from a user.;SOLUTION: The printer driver 400 is provided with a print mode setting part 410 setting an advanced mode or a generic mode, a machine type print data generation means 421 generating print data in a format by machine type, a compatible print data generation part 422 generating print data in a compatible format, and a print data output part 430 storing the print data in a USB memory. In the generic mode setting time, the print data in the compatible format are stored in the USB memory.
