PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for a water treatment apparatus which has a long life in terms of a residual chlorine removing capacity irrespective of its compact size to be connected directly with a faucet and can maintain a turbidity removing capacity for a long time. ;SOLUTION: In a filter 1 for a water treatment apparatus, 60-100 minus mesh granular active carbon and 100 minus mesh powdery active carbon are mixed in a ratio of 1-1 to 4-1. The filter 1 is formed from a solidified binder comprising a polymer whose melt index is 1. 1-2. 3 g/10 min (ASTM D1238, 190°C, 15 kg load).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
