The ZFAT gene expression-suppressing RNA according to the present invention is a siRNA composed of a sense RNA having a sequence of 20 to 30 bases, preferably 23 to 27 bases of ZFAT mRNA, and an antisense RNA having a sequence complementary to the sequence. ShRNA consisting of double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) in which RNA and the antisense RNA are bound by a loop sequence. The ZFAT gene expression-suppressing RNA of this invention suppresses the expression of the ZFAT gene, thereby reducing the cell growth rate of cancer cells and the like and inducing apoptosis of cells such as cancer cells. In addition, the immune response is inhibited by suppressing the expression of the ZFAT gene. Therefore, the ZFAT gene expression-suppressing RNA of the present invention is particularly useful for the development of molecular targeted therapeutic agents or immunosuppressive agents for cancer cells.
