INFRARED STRONTIUM LASER TUBE USING STRONTIUM HALIDE VAPOURS

The invention refers to an infrared strontium laser tube employing strontium halide vapours installed in powerful lasers applied in laser ablation and modification of soft tissue and bones in surgery, dentistry, biophysics and other scientific and applied science activities. The laser tube of the infrared strontium laser employing strontium halide vapours comprises a quartz tube (1) two electrodes (3) calcium difluoride windows closing the ends (4) and a coaxially mounted ceramic tube (2) with ceramic diaphragms, equidistantly placed (5) and the working media of strontium halide (6) in between. By this design of the laser tube conditions are created for effective recombination of strontium and halide atoms. So discharge conditions are not worsened in the active media due to accumulation of free halide in the gas discharge mixture leading to reduction in halide consumption and increasing the life time of the discharge tube.
