These two hydrocyclones used in series to improve the removal of a dispersed phase is a continuous phase through action ciclu00f3nca.The first hidrociclone has no way of extravasation and serves to coalesce together the droplets or particles of the disperse phase, increasing, therefore, the size distribution of the contaminant. The second hidrociclone works as a separator which operates with a higher removal efficiency.The method and the apparatus are useful to clarify the produced water from hydrocarbon recovery operations.
