IN-VIVO IMAGE FORMATION SYSTEM, DIAGNOSTIC IMAGE FORMATION METHOD, APPLIANCE, COMPUTER MEDIA, WORKSTATION, COMPUTER SYSTEM, METHOD FOR DESIGNING A STUDY, AND MODULAR IMAGE TRAINING SYSTEM -live of disease requires studies of image formation involving unique objects in unique image formation sessions, formation of series image of individuals or groups of individuals, and integration of data through diverse heterogeneous experimental methodologies. Each type of experiment is preferably supported by several sets of characteristics that can be rigorously applied to produce quantitative, reproducible results. Current imaging scanners are not equipped with standardized capabilities that support an automated and scientifically rigorous workflow, suitable for hypothesis testing. An imaging system (10) includes a research workstation (30) on which a user can design, execute, study and report imaging plans. The flexibility derived from a modular system design (10) allows the user to tailor workflow parameters for more robust hypothesis testing.
