Molecular sieve mesoporosa derived from su00eclica chrysotile used as agent for adsorption of organic compounds. The molecular sieve mesoporosa derived from silica of chrysotile is presented as alternative material for applications in adsorption and catalysis.This material has high specific area, and large size of pores, the main factors relevant for the adsorption of large molecules. The new material developed has been referred to as the mscris and the procedure of synthesis was based on the extraction of silica of chrysotile with subsequent interaction of silicate ions with a solution of surfactant micelle.The analysis of the material by X-ray diffraction and isotherms of adsorption and desoru00e7u00e3o liquid nitrogen based on the bet show the characteristics mesoporosas method of material, the material was tested in the adsorption of organic compounds from aqueous solutions, in particular the phenol , and has large adsorption capacity.
