Piston-type rheometer for testing magnetorheologic liquids and data analysis method

The piston rheometer for testing magnetorheological fluids composed of a complete piston car damper (1) with the electromagnetic winding (2) and a plunger stopper (3). Automotive piston damper (1) is provided by the blanking off the bypass opening in its bottom seal (4) and is mounted inside the cylinder (5) which comprises a floating piston (11) with a venting screw (12). Cylinder (5) is covered with a jacket (13) with the inlet fitting (14) and the outflow connection (15), wherein the cylinder (5) terminated upper cap (6) with seal (7) and the lower cover (8) with valve (9 ). An upper lid (6) and lower cover (8) is fixed to the cylinder (5) with disguised nuts (10, 10'). Measurable range of shear drop with piston rheometer according to the invention is from 10.sup.3.n.do 10.sup.6.nssup.-1.n .. The invention also relates to a data analysis including mathematical and statistical evaluation of the measured signal.
