The subject matter of the present invention is a filler modified to suit polymer systems containing a polymer component with a different polarity, which polymer component contains a modification additive comprising 0.1 to 50 percent by weight of a chemical compound containing a sulfonyl functional group pertaining to a group of substances consisting of dimethyl sulfone, methylethyl sulfone, methylpropyl sulfone and tetramethylene sulfone. The invention also relates to a process for preparing above-described filling agent wherein the preparation process thereof comprises applying the modification additive û the chemical compound with a sulfonyl functional group û to a surface of the filler, preferably at a temperature exceeding 100 degC.
