The invention relates to building, in particular, to spatial large span transparent structures and can be used in creation of closed spaces for protection of buildings and areas around them against unfavorable outer effects. A protective structure has at least one span and comprises supports with mounted thereon a spatial large span multi-belt cable structure with a transparent cover. The spatial large span multi-belt structure comprises at least one pre-stressed cable system and overlaps at least one span of the structure; two buildings of different height serve as supports of said cable system; the cable system comprises at least two belts of cables, anchor spacers arranged between the belts of the cable system and first elements adapted to withstand tension and/or compression efforts and arranged between the cables of the corresponding cable system, and the transparent cover is positioned at the upper belt of the cable system.
