ASSEMBLY FOR CLAMPING AN ELONGATED MEMBER OF DIFFERENT SHAPES AND SIZES

An assembly for clamping an elongated member of different shapes and sizes comprises a beam (1) configured with an oblong opening at its ends. Clamping means (2, 3) are pivotably connected to the oblong opening in the beam to provide rotational and lateral movement of the clamping means with respect to the beam, where one of the clamping means is formed with at least one projection (2a). Inserting means (4) is inserted into the clamping means in such a way that the clamping means are spaced apart from each other. The inserting means is situated opposite in relation to the projection of the clamping means. When the load is placed on the beam, the clamping means are rotated in relation to the beam due to the pivot connection, so that the inserting means and the projection of the clamping means invoke self-jamming against the elongated member in order to securely clamp the elongated member of different dimensions between the inserting means and the projection of the clamping means, at a desired height. Thus, the assembly is easily installable and automatically adaptable to false floor systems without using any additional tools, achieves maximum jamming for permanent fixation and reduces the installation time.
