The present invention refers to a novel method for the preparation of crystalline aluminosilicates of the Gismondine group, particularly the zeolite P, from residues of copper mineral. The process consists in two stages: a) alkaline fusion and b) hydrothermal treatment. The alkaline fusion is performed between the wastes and the NaOH at a temperature of from about 550°C to about 1100°C, at a fusion time of 1h to about 5h. The resulting material is cooled from 15°C to 25°C for 10h to 15h. The hydrothermal treatment is performed between the product of the alkaline fusion and water, at a temperature of from about 60°C to about 90°C for 25h to 75h, a washing process being performed at a temperature of from about 60°C to about 90°C for 2h to 4h and being dried at a temperature of from about 90°C to about 120°C for 8h to 14h.
