The present invention refers to a device for removing male and female moulds in the manufacture of ophthalmic lenses of medical prescription, since all operations start by selecting the mould diameter using a diameter selector and locating the same over the surface of the device, the diameter selector actuating a piston and lifting a knife by means of a mechanism, which may quickly remove the male and female moulds, the unmoulding process being performed in a reduced time, replacing mechanical, manual and chemical methods.
