The present invention refers to compositions of stabilised effectiveness, with Bacilius thuringiensis strains, resistant to change-out of water, which active principle is a biological control agent effective against mosquito larvae, and the method for obtaining said compositions. The aforementioned compositions comprise two strains of Bacilius thuringiensis, the first being of the var israelensis (NRRL B-50434) type due to the content of Cry genes, and the second being of the var medellin (NRRL B-50435) type due to the content of Cry genes, which are characterised in that they are highly effective in the biological control of mosquito larvae and are stable during all the useful life thereof. The methods allow a bio-insecticide to be obtained with a stabilised effectiveness resistant to the change-out of water. The invention also refers to methods for the biological control of mosquito larvae, disease vectors, which consist in the application of such compositions in water bodies.
